Sir, the EV-1 was a two passenger car that took more than 8 hours to charge up to go just barely 10 miles one way. The cold winter months also sapped quite a bit of the car's electrical charge. Also the car's electrical plugs took special charging stations. After 5-6 years electric batteries with whatever technology you use will have to be replaced. How much sense does this make? Imagine spending 30 grand for a volt only to spend 10 grand 6 years from now for a new set of batteries. Honda has 55 MPG Accord's in Europe that run on diesel. Until hydrogen filling stations are built, diesel is the way to go. Even Toyota Pruis'es mostly run on gasoline. A C4 cheverolet corvette gets 38 MPG on the highway. Not bad for an 8-cylinder sports car!
Did you buy one of those EV-1 Electric Cars you keep ranting about? Thought so! GM killed it because no one wanted it! Now you want to point at them. You killed it by not buying it!
